A chairde Gael,

A reminder that our summer immersion week will be happening 8-13 August, with more details to follow soon.

The AGM will be held next month, 25 June, 2022. More details and registration below.

At the AGM, we will be discussing establishing a paid membership model, so that there will be a more stable income for our activities and to offer new services. If someone does not purchase a membership, there will be no change or reduction in services, but paid members will receive new benefits throughout the year. A separate message has been circulated to that effect, which you can view online here. Please provide your feedback by 22 June. The model and any feedback received will be discussed at the AGM in June. Learn more here.

The Gaeltacht Online Store is now open, working with Spreadshirt to offer Gaelic goods. Everything there directly supports the Gaeltacht and more importantly than that it is a wonder method to promote your Irish and the Gaeltacht and to celebrate your pride in the language. This shop is available through our website directly (www.gaeilge.ca).

An upcoming free language and sport (hurling) event will be hosted at St Lawrence College in Kingston, Saturday, 4 June. Find all the details on the College's website; registration required.

As ever, we are truly grateful to everyone working diligently on the meithleacha (working groups) - we could not do a fraction of this without their help. We are a very small team and we would be welcoming of anyone who has interest in providing a helping hand, whether or not you have a specific skill or speak Irish. Be in touch with us at info@gaeilge.ca and take a direct role in the revival of Irish today.
